If it doesn't make it past the PS3 WW this week with just Saturday's sales, it will surely be above PS3 WW next week with MW2 and the entire week long of the Walmart deal.

It's $199 + $100 gift card, not $99......
I have a feeling they will be pretty much tied this week. Perhaps a slight advantage in favour of the 360. To be expected of course, $99 and also an MW2 bundle.

I highly doubt that. Multiplat bundles don't tend to give prolonged hardware boosts.

last week the gap was 90k ps3s advantage WW
it looks like that in NA the BOX will outsell the PS3 by about 70k so it will come 20k shy but it should be close
its to bad ps3 was beating the BOX all but 1 week in NA since the slim then the BOX had to give away arcades for 100$ hopefully this deal wont last long and it will be a matter of time b4 the ps3 outsells the BOX weekly in NA again

but for September:

Kantor, I'm ashamed of you. I've never picked you for being one to not know the true situation.... it's a $199 Xbox 360 still. The Walmart gift card can not be used on the purchase of the Xbox 360. It has to go towards other things. 
I think the 360 will be ahead but look at the writing on the wall. If they need to essentially sell the arcade for $99 just to get ahead of the $299 PS3....
Wow... can people really not stop calling it a $99 Xbox 360? It is in no way shape or form a $99 Xbox. It is a $199 Xbox Arcade with a gift card that has to be used on other products and can not be put towards the purchase of the Arcade itself. If you want to be technical it's basically a $200 Pro (using the gift card to buy the 60GB upgrade pack).
So from here on out can we please accept anyone calling this a $99 Xbox 360 as trolling, since after constant explanation that is all they are doing now?
