Probably when I was heavily into Deus Ex. I played that game to death. Anyway, I was walking down a corridor at school in the science wing. Now, we had these digital timers that make this "beep" sound and a class was using these very timers. Now the "beep" sound is very similar to the "beep" sound the explosives (LAMs in Deus Ex) make just before exploding. Upon hearing this particular "beep" noise I immediately assumed an explosive was about to go off to my left and dived into the photocopy room to my right and hid round the corner... That's when I realised there was no explosion and I was in the real world...

Lol! Best story so far!

And the most awkward moment I remember having is after I had played Guild Wars for a quite some time. In Guild Wars there is what we called rubberband-lag, where you could run into a tight spot and seemingly keep moving, but a little time later, the game would snap back to said spot, where it would be apparent that you've become stuck.

Several times I've caught myself worrying about getting said lag while crossing the road or something like that. That makes you realize just how much you've played

well back then the hot coffee mod was famous i was still studying when i met this girl.
She was kinda cute and i was really interested in her so i approached her.
She was cool and we had a good impression with each other and we decided to meet again.
So i was playing GTA:SA when there was the doorbell rung. I opened it and i was shocked
to see her. She said that while we were talking she was trying hard NOT to kiss me.
It was a shock to me since i was a virgin then (and still regrettably still am)
so i asked her if she wanted to have some HOT COFFEE (-.-)
she went in and saw on the TV CJ and some woman doing it having some hot coffee.
I never saw her again after that............

It happened to me once when I was very young. I was doing an english test, it had a question about which was your favourite phrase. I was playing a lot of Genesis at that time, so I answered "All Your Base Are Belong To Us".

I got a 0 on that question because it had grammatical errors, and I loled on my class when my teacher told me that xD

Well, there's this bell on campus that goes off every now and then... Usually I'm fine when I hear it, but I heard it once after I'd spent an entire day playing through Assassin's Creed.

I started running like Altair (ie bumping into people, running over stuff, etc. Just not climbing, thank God.)... then realized that I hadn't just assassinated anyone and the guards weren't trying to kill me... because there aren't any guards. Yeah, I got a few weird looks.
