Both XBL and PSN offer community similar community features. Killzone2 shows just how well and easy a developer can make it for you to join a game with a friend at any time. RE5, SFIV and Uncharted two shows just how simple it can be to set-up games with friends. White Knight Chronicles shows how simple communication can be if the developers want it to be simple. SONY now offers game launching partying up and ofcourse chat in private rooms with Playstation Home. Warhawk and Socom have zero problems supporting dedicated servers.
Everything you need make a good online gaming experience on PS3 or 360 is right there to use. Only difference is on 360, MS forces developers to program their games to support in-Game music, cross-game chat, cross-game invites, ect. SONY only demands that each game supports trophies and no game goes over a 5GB mandatory install.
If valve wants a PC or XBLA like gaming experience on PS3, they can. All they have to do is put the effort forward... |
wait, i thought MS takes care of that themselves by their OS and the devs have nothing to do with it.
right?
PS3's OS is developer based , means developers can change it the way they want.
but 360's OS have mandatory features, without the dev's effort , it offers those features.
im i right? or im i misinformed?
