Forums - Sony Discussion - Does anyone else feel that Sony is focusing more on kiddie games lately?

I agree. What is Sony thinking? In 2010 we're getting MAG, Heavy Rain, GT5 and others. Why has Sony switched tactis so suddenly???

I may have to buy a 360 or possibly a Wii (as Rol says) if this trend continues.

Scratch GT5 from your list. I think we were already in agreement that it is a kiddie game because there are no drivebys in it.

Oh yes, what was I thinking? And to make it worse, GT5 won't have any cop chases.

And another thing, why have Rol, Ghost of RB, noname and Khuutra changed their avatars to some kiddy shit? I suspect this thread is a trap!

It's called hyping a game, but they got so much to learn from ps3 fans when it comes to hype.

I have to agree. I'm an adult now. I need mature games. Sony just isn't delivering those. The competition is.

I think Sony's big problem is that they don't let you throw your partner characters into liquid-hot magma. You don't get more hardcore than watching your buddies burn alive.

Don't forget about being able to feed your opponents to ravenous beasts, or throwing them to their multi-story doom.

Or throwing bombs at people in Zelda. Terrorism!

And I want it on the record that this was decades before Modern Warfare 2.

Don't tell Fox News.

Hey it's been like three weeks since this game was announced, you can only expect so much

I agree. PS3 fans may be the most casual gamer but when it comes to hyping games Nintendo guys better take cover, because this site gets pelted with unimaginable amounts of threads on the slightest piece of news.

Manhunt 2 is also on PS2, PSP, and PC actually. But if we're going just by console this gen...then OK. But I agree with the rest that some of the most violent games out are on the Wii.

Oops, I forgot about the new exclusive rule.

What I meant was, that game's not on PS3 or 360, but it's on the Wii.  AND... with exclusive murder simulating controls.  Only on the Wii can you use actual murder-gestures to strangle, stab, maim, mutilate, and torture.  The game is so horribly disgusting and violent it was rated AO and they had to ADD in static over the worst parts to get an M rating.  And still, it's so gross that your character actually pukes from disgust at his own actions in the game.  You murder a guy, and just vomit from the guilt immediately.  It's the grossest thing I've ever seen in a game.  The protagonist feeling guilt made ME feel guilt.  It doesn't happen like that in a casual kiddie GTA game where you get points for dancing and exercising in the gym and going on dates with your girlfriend.  They should've called that game Granny's Tea-Time All-Play.

A thread created by Rol saying Sony are targetting the casual market filled with Nintendo fans all sporting NSMB Wii avatars...
