This post get's loser to the point, If nintendo are too blame for smg not selling as well as previous titles it's because of not bundeling smg and not having a price drop or a players choise line, If they have a playeers choise line and advertise it smg would easily outsell sm64.

The only bad thing about SMG was that it had way to many small planets.

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

The airship cutscene was an awesome nostalgia trip but overall they just wasted my time. Definitely a turn off but not as big a turn off as the stupid space palace. The castle and gardens in M64 were a nice place to be and eased you into the controls, the stupid space palace doesn't do that. It's horrible for noobs.

Galaxy can't be picked up again months later without a half hour of learning the controls again. It would be nice if you could quickly find and play some of the best levels without having to search everywhere because you can't remember where they are.

Overall, I don't care. For me, Nintendo more than delivered. For newbies, Nintendo made the game unnecessarily difficult to play and enjoy.

Nov 2016 - NES outsells PS1 (JP)

Don't Play Stationary 4 ever. Switch!

I certainly hate cutscenes. Especially unskippable ones, they really ruin replay value.* That scared away the expanded audience. Plus not being able to really play for the first 15 minutes. So, maybe you are right.

*OoT, I just don't care about the goddesses the 50th time. Super Paper Mario has to have the longest unskippable cutscene ever in a Nintendo game, and it's the very first fucking thing you see, AND you have to press a button to advance dialogue. WTF.

P.S. Interesting to see you make a tribute to Malstrom while at the same time insulting his argument style.

"Now, a fun game should always be easy to understand - you should be able to take one look at it and know what you have to do straight away. It should be so well constructed that you can tell at a glance what your goal is and, even if you don’t succeed, you’ll blame yourself rather than the game. Moreover, the people standing around watching the game have also got to be able to enjoy it." - Shiggy

2d platformers gives the impression of simplicity, because you are limited to Top, Right, Bottom and Left screens to move about in, left doesn't even count if you can't move backwards.

But open world 3d games, you can move in any direction, so exploration is an inherent part of the game play, the idea of exploring about fruitlessly or getting lost is probably not attractive to many.

Aww, I love the small planets. Those are the best part of this game that is a masterpiece

Anyway, instead of making up a weak strawman argument of an imaginery person and pretending to be a genius because I can refute it,

I laughed immensely. And now I'll read the rest of the post.

SM64 more than 11 million without Piracy, if the Wii wasn't the most pirated console in the World than you'll see SMG reaching 15 Millions EASILY.

Wii may have it's fair share of pirates but there is simply no way in hell that it's the most pirated console in the world.

The most pirated console in the world has to be either the PS2 or the PSP.
