Great game for sure, but miles away from the greatness of the old GTA games.

I hated GTA4. Fewer weapons, cars, missions than San Andreas, all the lunacy and fun like parachuting off mountains or flying planes was gone, the character development (even if it was superficial development) was gone, the soundtrack was smaller not too mention there were some problems with the gameplay. The writing was another issue. It was no better than in the Stories games. GTA4 was like they took a massive shit in bag, slapped you in the face with it and then charged you £50 for the oppertunity.

I prefer GTA 4 too, but we are certainly a minority.

I intend to create a time machine with the pure purpose of going back in time and stopping GTA4 or at least changing its genesis so it evolves into a less useless piece of software.

No your not the only one. I love it and am praying the expansions hit PS3 soon. This site seems against it but its only a site (top site tho Ioi). My hardcore gamer mates have split views on it some like, some dont. However, the casual guys at work into football and boxing love it as do I.

Whatever your opinion on it its not fair to call it a bad game because it certainly isnt. Second fave game this gen behind mgs4.

sry not gonna happen. microsoft pay $50 million dollars for them to be xbox 360 exclusives and not timed exclusives.

I don't now if you own a 360 (likely though since you have Lost Odyssey in your Games Collection)

Just wanted to point out that you could play the expansions on the 360 without owning the 360 version of GTAIV.

I think GTA4 was better than 3 but not better than SA and VC

+1.....San Andreas and VC were classics and added something to the genre; GT4 took so many steps back that I believe it is the "red headed step child" of the GT universe.  If you mean graphically then yes, but game-wise no, this game could have been great.....but it was not IMO.
