You have been killing innocents and bystanders in GTA for years. What's so special about this?

Way to complain about something that has been happening for years, did you jsut notice or something?

I said the same thing

Favorite films. Foreign films forever!

It's really doesn't me too much. I hardly buy games for the campaign mode anyways. I will be getting this mainly for the multiplayer mode. However, if I decide to play the campaign then NO.

It sounds to me like that have just taken the opening seen in COD4 a step further. If you remember you are taken first person view in a car to your assassination. It's very dramatic and sets the scene for an epic game. This time your actually in control.

Without playing it i can't say how well it works, but i know IW know how to give games impact, so im sure it's all good in the context of the game.

I don't have a problem with it.

There has been plenty of games over the years in which you kill innocent bystanders (people have already mentioned GTA). Also, from the footage I've seen, it doesn't look like Infinity Ward glorify the actions at all.

It's so neutral and "disturbing" that I think it does well at setting the motivation to oppose the terrorists for the rest of the game (like the first MW game did with the opening sequence).

Perhaps setting it at an airport was in bad taste though, given the state of the world at the moment (I personally don't have a problem with it, but if there's anything "wrong" with the footage, that'd probably be it), because there aren't many games (any that I can recall) that puts you in the shoes of the murdering bad guy in a airport (which obviously is significant in this day and age).

Honestly I don't have an issue with it, there's been much more disturbing images in films for a while now and I think it's just another attempt by the overly conservative to grasp at one of the few areas that they have maintained control over recently (because clearly they don't have much control over film and TV now).

Play the game to see in what context it happens. It actually fits the story and a nice little twist comes after...

Being disgusted by something doesn't mean you're for censoring it...

Feel free to feel disgusted without fear of being a hypocrite... the point of free speech and anti-censorship is that there'll always be SOMETHING that you'll find disgusting, and that we shouldn't censor stuff based on that disgust.

It was made to garner attention, for cheap publicity. It's mocking a very important event that really happened, and people are still very sensitive about.

It's not exactly about killing innocent people, although I'm pretty sure that was also considered quite controversial at one point. It's more because it's riding on 9/11, to be quite honest that's pretty sick of the developers.

I don't see how shooting people in an airport has ANYTHIGN to do with running an airplane into a building... Am I missing something?

wow post is simply wow.

btw, Assalumu Alaikum.

OT: Its just a game with a story that's been done a million times in various other games/movies/tv shows/etc. Who cares? What innocent people never die in a war??

I would bet a million dollars that super conservative up there wouldn't care if this was a typical middle eastern placed game and the innocents were all talking Arabic.
