Finally a publisher that "cares" about the product and the customer; bravo MM.

Well Sony is full of those kind of companies. Naughty Dog and Polyphony are the biggest examples.

Well then you mean developers as Sony is the publisher... not them.  I'd say there is generally a wide range of developers that are pretty close and compassionate with their fanbases.  Finding publishers that are like that are more difficult because they deal with more fo the financial, marketing, and business plans of the products.

Sony owns those companies though.

I think this makes sense. I mean, what would LBP2 be? Unless they fundamentally change it then LBP2 would be just like LBP 1 but with different levels and maybe some new items - but wait, you can do all of that with LBP 1.

I do think they've overdone costumes and stickers - I can only presume they are a real money earner the way they chuck them out - but if the upcoming pack with Water really adds a lot of new stuff I'll happy buy into an evolving LBP that keeps a consistent (and let's face it pretty huge) community in one piece rather than fragment it.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

Well he has a point but there comes a point in time where a sequel will be needed. Maybe not next year. But the next year I would say yes. There is only so many DLC pack you can release before it seems like its repeating itself. A LittleBigPlanet 2 in full 3D would be a really good idea in a couple years

There goes my hope for a non-floaty LBP.

Signature goes here!

He didn't say "no LBP2". He said a sequel would fragment the fanbase. He's right, of course.

Which means no LBP2 ON PS3. On PS4, we'll definitely see another LittleBig game. Hopefully they won't spend the next couple of years before development starts twiddling their thumbs and releasing costume packs for ridiculous prices.

If they cared about the customer, they wouldn't feel the need to charge for a sticker pack. They would release them for free. I love the game, but MM's nickel and diming is just ridiculous.

I think one LBP per gen console/handheld is sufficient enough. If they were to release another one this gen i cant see sales doing close to the original.

@kantor

I know, the DLC for LBP is really overpriced

except maybe the MGS4 one

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

I like this answer from MM.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Got a retro room? Post it here!

I think LBP2 in 3D in two years.. while at the same time(or not, I don't know) developing LBP3 for the PS4 as a launch title.
