So why bother with COD4 for Wii then? Oh right, it's named "Reflex", a totally different game.

I guess that's why COD:4 is on the DS.  What a bunch of d-bags.

IW isn't doing the port, treyarch are, and their only doing it cuz Activision wants it....read your facts before making silly comments, otherwise others will tear you a new one...friendly advice...lol just finished posting the same thing not 1 minute ago and here you go and say something similar to the 1st guy I corrected, people need to read and know their stuff before they can make an informed post...just saying.

Actually N space did CoD4 on DS and it's not exactly a port either it's a supplimental story to the main game.  What was that you said? "read your facts before making silly comments, otherwise others will tear you a new one...friendly advice..." *shakes head*

I don't know why people are up in arms about IW comments. There's some thing that Wii can't do that the PS3 or 360 can do and vice versa. Bringing something like MW2 to Wii might be an unsatisfying venture to the developer and end user.

Infinity Ward is just seeking for money with Modern Warfare 2. And saying that Wii can't deliver, WTF? Did they see what Nintendo achieved with Mario Galaxy?

@lordthenightknight, treyarch are the ones not infinity ward that made the mw engine work with the wii , waw was the proof of that. yes infinity ward made the engine, but they said it wouldnt work on the wii, they never tried. but treyarch made it work, infinity ward is just lazy i think, if they truly think they are as great as they have lead everyone to believe then they should put their money where thier mouths are and make a wii call of duty, if not then they should shut the hell up about wii developement.

If advanced 6th gen tech can't handle it, then there's no reason to try to put it on there. It's a good thing that even though something is the Atari 2600 of its time developers still want to put their best foot forward in their Colecovision and Atari 5200 games.

The "equal" thing just seems to be an excuse, rather than admitting they don't want to work with the specs.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

some game developer guy just said something like " I think we've got the skills we need to make anything we want, anywhere we want, on any budget we want."

oh yeah it was Hideo Kojima

To think that game developers cant create something cinematic or exciting because the limitations of specific hardware is just ridiculous.

Constraints exist to push creative minds to find ways of expressing their message/game in an innovative and impressive way.

An artist can express his message with the lowest grade of tools to the highest. Not being able to do so is the limitation of the artist.

It's not as though the Wii would render large scale games like Star Fox. And even that could look great in the right hands.

Christ, look at all the Nintendo fanboys jumping IW.

They have a valid point in what they are saying. They want their game to be equal over all platforms, and the PC/PS3/X360 can all handle it equally. Wii can't.

Some call them lazy. My ass! even though I dislike the MW games because of the setting, they are clearly a full-hearted effort on par of their developers. Critical acclaim shows that.

If they give valid reasons as to why they don't want to work on the system, I don't see why the hell you're jumping them. When it comes to cinematic experiences, the Wii is just not on par. For fact - "thanks" to the hardware.

pfft Wii hadware is not bad, its not 360/PS3/PC but im sure they can make a great COD shooter on there. it has online so i dont see the problem to be honest
