I created this topic to vent..... I've had a new laptop for about a week, and it's been nagging me to create a backup disc every single day. So today I finally went out and bought a stack of 25 DVD+Rs to do it (it needs 3). Well, nightmare. Took an hour to burn the first, then it said 'error' at the last minute and failed. DVD won't rewrite, can't be used, straight into the bin. Happens twice more. Then finally get it to work on the 4th disc, and it asks for the second blank dvd to make the next.... then my entire laptop goes down the pan when I open Windows Media Player at the same time as the backup facility...long story short I have to restart. I check the second disk, and it works. So I open the backup facility program and it says 'please insert disc 1'. Lo and behold, I need to start over. So that's 6 discs in the bin and still nowhere near completion. FUCK!.
