Doesnt really affect me at all. Because I would use the $100 gift card for a harddrive plus some more money for it.
So basically, this would mean I only save $5-$10.
Would much rather get an Elite, and get the headset ect.
Hopfully there will be some type of Elite deal, so I could get one for christmas
so a $99 360, and they are playing ads saying "MWF2 play it on the best system to play games on XBOX 360"
walmart ads

Then pay an extra $150 for the HDD and wireless internet. Or pay the PS3 difference with your first XBox Live Gold fee.
Why bother? Get a PS3 for $299 which already has the HDD and wireless capability if you are in the market for a Blu ray player and a games console.
There is no economic reason to get this deal over a PS3, unless you really do only want an Arcade and don't want XBL Gold. In that case, sure saving $50 is saving $50 and every bit helps.
Now. Getting it makes complete sense if you are all about the 360 exclusive games. If you can only get the games you really want to play on 360, then getting a blu-ray player on top for an extra $50 is a sweet deal. Or use the $100 to help you get the HDD and wireless.

Saweeeeeeeeettt!!
i'd get the X360 and sell my BD player that way i can get my money back
Edit: .. wait so its a gift card? , my hopes shattered..
