Damn. I'm absolutely useless to you.
the PSeye can be used anywhere, but on ps3 you can chat with PSN users , although i didn't try it but im sure you can use it as a web cam for flash sites using the webbrowser.
the PSEye can work on PC (it needs a little downloaded software though you can google it) so it will work with MSN and Skype
like i said above you might have the ability to chat using the browser
Nope, it doesn't effect as far as i know
Aussie uses the same store as the UK one, so you can probably use the UK ones.
I'm not sure about using uk ones as currencies might be different, I'm pretty sure Euro cards don't work on uk psns.
slightly unrelated but KULA WORLD!!!!! Love that game.
Well i dont know about the PSeye being used as a webcam but as for WiFi being 10 meters from your router you should be perfectly fine. However you should atleast use a wireless G network if you want fast speeds. A and B have range issues and run alot slower. Obviously N is the best if you have that
Long Live SHIO!
I haven't got a PSEye yet, but I do have the PS2 Eyetoy and it works very well as a PC webcam (and has built in Mic) so I would think the Eye would work fine. I have no idea about PS3 to PC video webchat. You can put Skype on your PSP but I don't know about the PS3.

With your PS3 u can only chat with other PS3 users
as for the Credit card, even if you lose it or get stolen, they are insured, i lost or more likely got my card stolen couple of years back, it was fraudulently used for around $1500, didnt cost me anything

The 1st bolded : What I'm trying to say is; Person A has a PS3 with PSeye - want to chat with - Person B has a PC with ordinary USB cameras. Is this possible? |
@bold 1: not sure but I never heard of anyone does it
@bold 2: I doubt PSN card will be released in Aus anytime sooner. If you don't want to use your credit card, a better solution is to create a NA account, just find one valid US address and apply a new account with it, then get a NA PSN card from sites like playasia. you will have to pay more than the actual value of the card, but since everything in NA PSN store is cheapter than in Aus store, so you don't really lose anything here. but beware that DLCs are not region free.

I know you are from Australia :p Someone said you could use uk cards, I was telling them that EU cards don't work in the uk so I doubt they would work in Australia as for Kula world. Words fail to describe how awesome that game was, can't remember who made it so I don't know who owns the rights to it, IMO we need a new version of that and Krushi (intelligent Qube for the Americans).
