Ok so its already the best selling monster hunter game on a console thanks to the japanese alone, but how do you guys think this will sell in america and europe? and if it does not sell to good has it still been a success

Well, considering it's sold almost a million already and outsold all home console versions of the series before, it is a success no matter which way you slice it, but it'll still be very disappointing if it doesn't do well outside of Japan. It's hard to say right now, but hopefully Capcom and Nintendo market it properly and push it well.

I can't imagine it selling less than 500k outside of Japan, so at the very least it should land around 1,5 million when all is said and done. With any luck and good advertising, it could hit 2 million.

Monster Hunter always sells less outside of Japan, Doubt this will receive much greater than half a million lifetime sales in NA and Europe combined.

I dont know why but i cant get into the monster hunter series ... i bought the first one on psp, disliked it, then i heard how amazing freedom unite was ... so i bought it and disliked it ... so now im not sure if ill buy the wii one ... looks like the same engine was used in the wii one, as the psp one. Did it get good reviews in japan???

With the 1 million they will get from Japan, it will be below their expectations.
Europe won't buy much of it (they barely buy anything anymore), but America may be around 200k-400k.

So low end: 1.25m (1m JP, .20m NA, .05m EU)
High end: 1.51m (1.01m JP, .40m NA, .1m EU)

i think if they offer free online outside of japan, it'll sell reasonably well. if not, not a chance in hell.
