that there is really no more split screen i remeber playing resistance 1 with my little bro just on split screen that was so much more fun than playing with complete strangers

1. Unreliable hardware - like seriously my old model PS2 is still going good after 10 years. shit it literally fell on the damn ground and it still works fine. i cant believe after 2 to 3 years these new consoles start experiencing issues and u have to get it fixed its pretty sad if u ask me

2. Even though its definitely going to change this year, the lack of consoles RPG's up until this point, hasn't been much help either. If the next gen is anything like this one, i wont be buying any new consoles till its like 4 to 5 years into its life cycle.

3. Lack of PS2 backwards compatibility for PS3 - honestly Sony why is it so hard for u to put this feature back in? I mean cmon all the other systems can play older games so why can't yours?? i have a mountain of old PS2 games that i still like to play and i hate having to keep bringing out my old PS2 to play them. For the love of god plz put this feature back in.

Blockbuster game mentality

got to be the hunger for graphics and wii peripherals for me

-Dumbing down of the FPS genre
-Dumbing down of the RPG genre
-Hardware problems all around
-DLC
-Buggy games
-Patches
-Installs


To sum it all up in 1 phrase though:
-Consoles no longer being consoles but half-assed PCs

If I'm gonna worry about hardware failure, HDD space, buggy games, installations, etc. I'll just play on the PC where at least I get benefits from all that stuff.

Where do I start....

• Graphics being the first priority over every single thing about games.
• Literally no game NOT on a Nintendo console or Shadows of the Colossus/SE games had memorable music. That's just my opinion.
•  DLC- releasing an unfinished game, and making you pay for the full product later; screw that.
•  No splitscreen multiplayer- I have two older brothers who I have been gaming with for over 15 years. Without the exception of a few FPS games, I haven't been able to play with them all generation. Thank God for Super Smash Bros

• Developer arrogance and entitlement- How about you make what the consumers want instead of taking part in a measuring contest with other devs? Who the hell is Tim Schafer anyways?
•  The complete loss of review credibility
•  Unreliable hardware- I hate that I have to walk on eggshells for my consoles. My older consoles fell dozens of times and still work to this day.
•  Expensive games that are also criminally short.
•  First-person shooters. I could understand if they were good, but the fact that 98% of them suck pisses me off.
•  Hardcore/Casual – almost no different than racism, in friggin videogaming!
•  3^rd party trash.
