Forums - Microsoft - Should I get A Xbox 360?

For the love of......Okay. Anybody who doesn't own a 360, get the fudge out! The guy has a PS3, can afford a 360, and is considering buying a 360. The console is awesome. Yes, the PS3 only does EVERYTHING. He knows. He owns one. Why is it so wrong for this guy to buy a 360, too?

Well said, sir. You rawk.

Owning a 360 is pretty much the one no brainer of this generation.

My one thing is - for anyone recommending for a system or not, it would be ideal to have some experience with said system vs. a person who loves one console and will never buy the other system. Their biased opinion is like asking a pedophile if a unattended playground filled with children is a safe place to drop their child off at. If you expect a pedophile to be truthful, then please, by all means, listen to them.

Just buy one.
And actually try to enjoy it, don't just play the exclusives and look for flaws in them like some people do around here..

Personally, I don't see much special about the 360 over the PS3. The wii offers more diversity in terms of exclusives from the PS3 and goes well with either the 360 or PS3. Now if you get all 3 consoles that is ideal. For only two, I suggest at least one of them be a Wii.

Don't worry about the RROD. It's not really any more common than problems with the PS3 or Wii now, and with the 3 year warranty for RROD there it should not be a significant factor for your consideration.

My 360 is used as a DVD player more often than to play video games. I definitely play more video games on the Wii than the 360, but to be fair I had my wii longer and so my collections for the Wii is larger.

Off topic....is that Pazuzu (your avatar)?  On topic, I agree, the wii as a companion console or your main console is a must.  Personally if you already have a ps3 it makes more since to get a wii, especially seeing that 95% of the 360's games are on the ps3.  If he already "had" a Wii then he should choose which ever console fits his taste.

Yea, if u choose to get an elite, get the 2009 holiday bundlewith the newest packaging, it's sure to be an jasper. dont get the elite with the old box w/o thepicture of the elite on front, its sure to be a falcon.

while there is a lot of disputeover the 360 being weaker and not as good as b4,its still a great console and you'll enjoy it. I like it bcus of the online. so if ur not that into it, then the 360 isnt for u.

Above I'm a proud Gran Turismo fan, not a Sony fanboy, and now a proud 360 owner, but sharing xbox live accts ATM

End of 2009 Predictions (made Jan 1, 2009): My predictions were pretty accurate, the 360 was over and the Wii was just under.

Wii: 65 mil (yea I'm crazy) 360: 35 mil (its getting there) PS3: 30 mil (the slim better do well)

End of 2010 Predictions (made Jan 7, 2010):

Wii: 81 mil  360: 47 mil PS3: 45 mil
