The world is not a fair pace, and I don't understand how you can think that it won't reach 2m

The game cost $20m to make, so the dev costs have been repaid after 1m, and probably after 1.5m the marketing costs are covered. (Sony probably gets about $25-30 per game)

If I recall, a first party developer studio gets about 40$ for each game sold (around 20$ for the retailers and printing/shipping costs).



Bet with Dr.A.Peter.Nintendo that Super Mario Galaxy 2 won't sell 15 million copies up to six months after it's release, the winner will get Avatar control for a week and signature control for a month.

Its doing well for a relatively new franchise. This game is about growing, evolving and establishing the franchise to become a strong series for future iterations. Well done to Naughty Dog for creating such an amazing game.

You clearly dont know anything of a PS3 game, they barely can reach 5 million.  GTA4 is probably the only PS3 game that's reach 5million so far and CoD4: MW is near 5 million, MGS4 is almost at 4million....these game titles are far bigger than Uncharted 2 so what makes you think this game will reach 10million if those i've mentioned hasnt?  Nintendo games are different then PS3/360 games so it'd be really dumb to try and compare. 

By saying MGS 4 is nearly at 4m, you actually mean it has gone past 4m don't you?

it would be possible if and ONLY if PS3 goes on a year dry spell of AAA games like Wii is going through right now. heck, if that were the case, I would give up PS3 right now. as a console owner, i much prefer buying 10 great game a year, than to see 1 great game a year that sells 10 times as much

Its definately in my top 3 games this gen (along with CoD4 and Uncharted: Drake's Fortune) and they deserve these great sales!

It should do 2 million by 2010 and hopefully at least 4 million LTD would be amazing! (and guarantee a Uncharted 3)
