According to c21 media, the Sony and Sky have agreed to make the Sky Player avaiable on the PS3.

"UK satellite TV company BSkyB has struck a deal with Sony to make its channels available on the PlayStation 3, having earlier this week launched on the Microsoft Xbox. The deal to provide Sky's channels on the PS3 platform has not yet been made public and is confidential to Sky,"

This can be completely false though. Can someone check the C21 Media website if they are a member as you have to pay to subscribe.

Its for people: A) Can't have a satellite dish put up B) Want to watch sky somewhere else than the living room. C) Watch on-demand stuff on the TV

Last I heard the were scheduling a launch for Australia and other EU countries.

I hope so, although I'd be surprised if Microsoft haven't negotiated some sort of timed exclusivity deal.

think it would be a complete different app tbh. Dont thin the XMB would work well with it.

Yes. Microsoft are using things such as netflix, sky etc to justify charging for online. Sony just keep taking away those reasons. If the PS3 gets cross game chat etc the pressure will really crank up on MS.

So Sky Blu-ray streming disk is coming also ?
