While I was a Genesis owner, I had everything I could ever want in a system. I mean, there was Sonic, Mortal Kombat, Sonic, Earthworm Jim, Sonic... and did I mention Sonic?

But there was this other console... and it had this weird plumber dude on a Dinosaur. And this game rocked.

So I guess I have to go with the SNES.

you know, i never knew that SNES sold much much more than the Genesis. (We called it Super Famicon)

i actually thought it was the other way around when i was younger, the Genesis was a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugggee hit in here.

but thats not surprising since in here PS3 is the console and Xbox 360 barely gets that much sales.

2nd video is from the PC RPG Maker 2, the first video is the PS1 RPG Maker.

With both you need to not only create all your own storyline, dialogue, weapons, magic, characters, dungeons, towns, etc... but you must also set all scenario/storyline triggers, treasure chest triggers, etc... that way specific things only become available after certain events and that things can't be done more than once, like opening a chest for example.

They require a lot of time but they are great. I suggest checking out RPG Maker VX, it is much easier for beginners.

Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.

PS1 version or PC?

I made a few RPGs, one of which was like 8-10 hours long. Yeah not super long, but it took a hell of a lot more than just 8-10 hours to make.
