Lets just say Zexen is pro-town, wouldn't the blame shift on those who voted for him? I believe someone regardless a cop will look into him. Wouldn't it be wiser to vote for the afker.

I believe in leaving anyone who can be viewed as an asset to my side winning alive, and killing anyone that can be viewed as being a hinderance. To that end, I don't care if Zexen has a secondary role. His primary role is what is of interest to me.

All the same it appears Zexen is getting himself lynched, and taking me down along with him. I have enough to worry about with random bandwagon lynchings without adding the risk of an over-zealous vigilante trying to deal with me. He is the FBI Agent. He tries to find the serial killer, and turns into either a cop or vanilla townie when he is found. It was pretty obvious from the start.
