Didn't they give Demon's Souls a score like that as well?

It looks like a pretty good PSN downloadable game.
Average game so far (from reviews).
Hope it won't cost too much. If it's in the same price range than Flower, I'll buy it!
Please Sony, bring it online for US customers!

Fix'd. Game only has 1 review and from the same people who gave Demon's Souls a 29, inFamous a 31 and The Last Remnant a 39.
Famitsu scores on hype. Here are a bit of quotes from the review though.
- 3D Dot Game Heroes (8/8/7/7, 30 points): "The gameplay and so on is one enormous homage to Zelda and there are references to NES games everywhere, making this a nostalgia-laden trip," one reviewer wrote.
"The graphics and blocky animations are very pretty, fusing old with new seamlessly, but the game itself is, for better or for worse, pretty orthodox."
Your opinion of the game will likely depend on your age more than anything else, the way Famitsu sees it.
"The sheer amount of ripoffs...er, homages to other games is enough to put a smile on the face of any thirtysomething gamer," as one put it.
"It's a well-made title and fun in its own right, but if you try to evaluate this as a new and original game, then you can't help but start to have doubts."
In other words, the reasoning as to why I was excited for it is how it turned out. This is excellent news for me!
Also, this is a full retail release, the game is anywhere between 25-50 hours in length.
iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.
Currently playing:
Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)
it sounds fantastic IMO
but I dunno I hope it doesn't cost like £40

Famitsu have weird standards...
Rockstar: Announce Bully 2 already and make gamers proud!
Kojima: Come out with Project S already!

I know.
That's why I said that.
It SHOULD be a PSN title.
If Microsoft is able to release a game online like Shadow Complex, Sony is able to do it also.
No need of a retail publisher, cutting cost.
3D Dot Heroes should not be more than 19,99$ online.

So I guess you have played it enough to pass that judgement?
This game is 25-50 hours long.
Multiple mini-games along with the main game, including an additional Spelunker game mode.
"From" mode, which not only changes the difficulty, but how the NPC react throughout the storyline.
Deep character creator.
Just read the OP.
Nobody in here cares what MS did with Shadow Complex. Not trying to be a jerk, but really, nobody cares.

Hey, it's my opinion.
For me 3D Dot Heroes looks like a PSN title.
I'm not going to spend more than 19.99$ for this.
Maybe because I've already played Zelda in the 90's... I don't know... but this game looks like a PSN title FOR ME.
I don't see myself paying 60-70$ for something who REMINDS me of the old Nintendo era.
