Sony is in the business of entertainment. Why not entertain the press and public to the comedic stylings of the Director of Rumor Confirmation, Kevin Butler. With Sony’s new ad campaign, it would be a disappointment to Sony fanboys for Butler not to replace Jack Tretton as host.

It would certainly be fitting from the type of person Butler portrays in Sony’s ads. Butler already spearheaded a new Sony campaign and continues to do so. Why not let him spearhead everyone at E3?

From what I have been reading around on forums and the PSblog, the reception from Sony’s new ads are great. It has not been long since everyone on the net shouted WTF is wrong with Sony’s marketing. Sony’s attempt at viral marketing with obscure ads and commercial was pretty much a failure. The Sony commercials I saw today aired over the 2009 MLB playoffs. I was so surprised to see Sony ads under such a large spotlight. Sony showed off a new Ratchet and Clank Future: A Crack in Time ad and a GranTurismo PSP ads during the MLB 2009 playoffs.

Kevin Butler has been on a roll with Sony ads so far. If Butler becomes the bearer of bad news (ridge racer!), expect his persona to be tainted forever by fanboys on neoGAF and the net. Butler is basically a God right now to every Sony fan. He is the protector and bearer of the PlayStation brand. This is hilarious.

Anyways, this little blurb serves to get everyone talking about Kevin Butler at E3 2010.

it would be awesome if he would do a part of conference in e3 not the whole show though.cause i just can't see him talk about PS sales in E3.

yes a little 15 minute part would be great...the whole show wouldnt be so good cause some big people wouldnt take Sony serious then...but on the other hand if the line-up is really crazy it doesnt matter if u have a comedian or the SCEA president up in this...

Imagine kevin butler as Mickey Mouse on the stage to confirm Kingdom Hearts 3 exclusive for the PS3!:D

They should let him open the E3 conference.

Kaz is one of the worst persons ont he stage

Tretton is so cool, he was the only presenter out of the big 3 that could make the audience laugh

he definitely needs to be there for rumor confirming and what not. and crap they already have e2 '10 dates wow.

The only reason he made people laugh was because he said FF14 was coming next year

Tretton actually does a pretty good job entertaining the crowd. Just something I noticed...
