The amazing gameplay of Mario Kart we all love perfected, with great replayability because of the online modes and competitions. Offline multiplayer is improved, and the game is just extremely polished and fun.

Downside: battle mode sucks.

Perfect gameplay, nice additions and overall fun. Also finally the two baby characters are not rigged.

The definitive Wii game, the very first one that I recommend to anybody.

I have clocked up about 300 hours on this game, it has excellent online, is a lot more customiseable than previous versions (ie AI difficulty and the ability to turn items off or basic) time trials added so much, there's a heaps of courses and they're pretty much all good and then has all the awesomeness of previous Mario Karts

It lost 0.2 because, whilst team battle where you are alive for the whole time is fun, but it should have been additional to the traditional N64 style battle mode

Appeals to nearly anyone, fun at all levels of play, easy to learn yet hard to master, with good online, a ranking system, and little latency.

Battle mode is the only thing stopping it from being 10.
