I might like cars but I do not necessarily like racing games. I do like what I have seen of Forza 3 and if I was to splash out on a racing game this would be the one. I would normally wait until the game was out a while then buy it when it came down in price. I am tempted to break this routine.

The adverts are good but the demo was better. At the moment I feel that will I cave in before November ends. Me so weaaaaak.

If I cancel my MW2 pre order that will make this a no brainer.

The article made MW2 looks like X360 exclusive. Sure there are X360 bundle but i dont think it is enough to beat PS3 even in USA. Most X360 owner are FPS lover (Halo 3, Gears, COD). Forza 3 can move some console but RC also quite big plus UC2 will be big this Xmas because it was one of must have PS3 game. My conclusion PS3 will win in US this time.

Doubt Microsoft has that much to gain from MW2, being the home of Halo they have already reached a very large part of the FPS market and thus additional console sales due to this multiplatform game is not going to be a game changer. It will sell well to the existing Xbox360 userbase though.

I think it is too hard to call really. One thing is for sure is that MW2 on 360 will crush sales of MW2 on PS3. The first one has sold nearly 4m units more on 360 then PS3 and WAW sold nearly 2.5m more units on 360 then PS3. So that trend will not stop.

So it will really boil down to how many people want MW2 who do not yet have one of the next gen consoles. If the sales ratio we see from MW1 and WAW follow through to MW2 which is basically 2-1 in 360 favour then yes they will be right, 360 will beat PS3 for the 4th holiday in a row. But the PS3 is now cheaper then it was and has a better line up of games then it had this time last year.

If i had to take a guess from a analyst point of view i would say 360 will win in december but not by much. Deffinatly not by the amount we have seen in the past. Maybe even only by 50k-100k.

Forza 3 is the greatest racing game of all time, it burries any previous racing game including every single Gran Turismo title. But it won't sell anywhere near as well as a mainstream genre title. So i can see people buying a console for the game but not in the numbers that a game like MW2 would, for either console. So i think yes 360 will beat PS3 in december, simply because it will be the cheapest console of the two. Then next xmas when the obvious £50 price cut and Natal come out with games like Fable 3 it will kill the competition, maybe even selling more then the Wii.

Most cod players already have a current gen console so i doubt MW2 will move big hardware like they think it will
