I think it is too hard to call really. One thing is for sure is that MW2 on 360 will crush sales of MW2 on PS3. The first one has sold nearly 4m units more on 360 then PS3 and WAW sold nearly 2.5m more units on 360 then PS3. So that trend will not stop.
So it will really boil down to how many people want MW2 who do not yet have one of the next gen consoles. If the sales ratio we see from MW1 and WAW follow through to MW2 which is basically 2-1 in 360 favour then yes they will be right, 360 will beat PS3 for the 4th holiday in a row. But the PS3 is now cheaper then it was and has a better line up of games then it had this time last year.
If i had to take a guess from a analyst point of view i would say 360 will win in december but not by much. Deffinatly not by the amount we have seen in the past. Maybe even only by 50k-100k.
Forza 3 is the greatest racing game of all time, it burries any previous racing game including every single Gran Turismo title. But it won't sell anywhere near as well as a mainstream genre title. So i can see people buying a console for the game but not in the numbers that a game like MW2 would, for either console. So i think yes 360 will beat PS3 in december, simply because it will be the cheapest console of the two. Then next xmas when the obvious £50 price cut and Natal come out with games like Fable 3 it will kill the competition, maybe even selling more then the Wii.
