Awesome.I just recently...bought... ff 7-9 Ost and man they are awesome.
My fauvorite one is Loss of me from FF9.

Hamauzu did about one third of FFX's soundtrack and a lot of people agreed he composed some of the best songs for that one.

Well, it's still a matter of taste but I wouldn't worry about the quality of the OST.

Squenix chose the right guy to do this.

Hopefully, he'll get more recognition after the release of FF XIII.

Uematsu did the music for most of the games in the series sans some of X and all of XII and now XIII.

He did most of 1-9, 11, and he's doing all of 14.

Final Fantasy X was mostly done by Nobuo Uematsu (IMO, the best songs there were done by Nobuo). I liked a lot of Hamauzu tracks on there, though ("Besaid" song was fantastic).

We'll wait and see how good this soundtrack turns out to be. Final Fantasy XII was a disappointment.
