Who said 4 million shipped? Plus it mite be a ruff number, rounded up from say 3.7 mill.

The article says it has sold 4 million.
It is possible they meant sold to consumers but unlikely because then VGC would have MASSIVELY undertracked.
starcraft - Playing Games = FUN, Talking about Games = SERIOUS
Excellent list, Dune II is quite often neglected due to most people never having played it and WoW was the first of it's kind to because the massive hit everyone in the industry was aiming for.
his list sucks...

Halo? You fucking with me? HOnestly I stopped giving a fuckk about Molyneux after Black&White's fiasco. He hasn't released a good game since...

gamrReview's broken review scores: http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=4170835

I expected it to be Fable 1, Fable 2, Fable 3, Fable 4 and Fable 5.
My top picks:
1) Dactyl Nightmare (Virtual Reality FPS based on Amiga hardware before Wolfenstein3D, but with vertical movement/view, started FPS death match / Capture the Flag modes, included head and hand tracking)
2) Dungeon Master on Amiga/Atari ST (great RPG for its time, kickstarted the RPG scene and sparked games like Eye of the Beholder)
3) Populous on Amiga/Atari ST (Started the God game gerne, sparked games like Powermonger and The Settlers on the Amiga)
4) Lemmings (Puzzle platforming including great 2 player combat (which lacked from later ports), sparked games like Worms (combined with Tank mechnamics on the Amiga))
5) Grand Theft Auto (originally developed for the Amiga, switched to PC when Commodore went down, I would have preferred to play this with a joystick instead of with the keyboard...)
| The Ghost of RubangB said: I like his logic behind these choices, but I don't agree with the games he picked. I'd go SimCity for being slower and more cerebral and having several ways to play, Mario 64 I'd keep, Metroid for wearing a bikini and being a babe, GoldenEye for bringing FPS to consoles right, Everquest for being Evercrack before WoW existed. But I'd probably just make a list like Pac-Man, Super Mario Bros., Tetris, Doom, DDR, Wii Sports. |
DDR seriously? But DDR stole everything from Spider Stompin'!!! For R3AL!

Me since the games were revealed, the fanboys since E3."
