Ah, Chains of Olympus.

Not a terrible game, by any means. Actually a very good game. Solid 9/10, but only so high because of the limitations of the PSP hardware- they couldn't really have done any better.

When compared to the PS2 versions, it sucks. REALLY sucks. It is hurt by the lack of a right analog stick, the gimping of the left analog stick, and the absence of L2/R2. The graphics are ugly, the game is short, and it's basically just a watered-down port of God of War II.

It is my favourite PSP game, but then I don't own very many.

Yes PS2 > PSP

and PS3 >> PS2+PSP X 2

seriously Kantor

CoO wasn't crap, just crap in comparison to GoW1 and GoW2. It felt like a watery ps2 GoW that was at least a little worse in every regard. Rolling was annoying, controls weren't as good, bosses and environments weren't as epic, upgrade system was too simplistic, and as a whole felt phoned in as a GoW game.

If that's the best the PSP has to offer, that's kinda sad actually.

Most people disagree with you

Well that's just ur opinion i guess

I just hope you don't compare GOW 3 to GOW 1,2 and call them crap in "comparison" too

Don't be ridiculous. GoW3 is a sequel to GoW1 and 2. It is supposed to be much better in every regard, that is what makes it a good sequel.

Chains of Olympus released after both games, and lives up to neither. It isn't a sequel, it's really a port.

If it was on the PSP, Sony's headquarters would have been bombed a long time ago.

Now if someone said GOW1,2 sucks compared to GOW3,  what would you say?

I would agree, but add that they are supposed to suck compared to GoW3. That makes GoW3 a good sequel.

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, for example, sucks majorly compared to Uncharted 2.

Imo GoWII > GoW by a mile.

I played the PSP game yesterday and remembered that the controls are the reason for me not liking it as much.

L+R +Analog to dodge is annoying. Sometimes I miss one of the shoulder buttons. And the overall design of the PSP makes my hands cramp and hurt badly when I play for more than 30 minutes.

If controls were better, the experience would have been better.

9.2/10 btw, last one was a typo.

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.

Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi
