Well I do blame the Wii owners. The sales of this game is a reflection of what Wii owners are interested in. Clearly its not this but that doesn't mean EA won't continue to bring games to the Wii.

Then again would HD gamers want a slow paced rail shooter that slows down the action forces you to sit through cutscenes?

Well I do presume this game could have had stronger sales on HD consoles.
Only the HD consoles got the original Dead Space. So obviously those consoles are the ones with the Dead Space fanbase.

I'll give that. Just that they didn't do a good job of making another audience here.
Seriously, when one of the most hated games of this gen (and I still say unfairly and innacurately) trounces this in sales, you are not doing a good job.
And Capcom showed that Monster Hunter can still be a hit. S-E showed that even their spinoff games can sell on it.

Well, if there have been previous successes of on-rails shooters and this one flopped terribly, then it's mostly their fault. Nobody cared about the game... nobody gave a damn about it, everyone was against it and nobody knew it exists besides a few. So what did they expect?
They were owned by their own ineptitude. On-Rail shooters were a refreshing genre for the Wii in its first 2 years, but now they are being overused. TPS genre is empty, no one wants to try and make a decent TPS game. Everyone goes the easy route and then cry.
"But yeah, because On-rails games sold well enough, lets make another one and pray to God it will sell. We won't advertise it even if it's from a new IP that hasn't been very popular and that was never released on the Wii before. Let's make everything we can to make a game that won't sell."
And there you have the results. Well deserved.

And even that shouldn't be that much harder, especially if they grab a pre-made engine (like Unreal Engine 2.5).
Porting is still harder and more costly than many think, but it is quicker than an original game. Developers can port a bunch of Xbox, PS2, and pre 2005 PC shooters to the Wii. I would love to try No One Lives Forever 1 & 2 on it. But as for more popular series, they can work on the Wii, as long as the control setup is at least as good as MoH: Heroes 2 or CoD: WaW.

How much would it cost to port Doom 1 and 2 to the Wii, adding absolutely nothing but their 15 year old level editor, online multiplayer, level sharing, and IR pointer controls? Episode 1 of Doom fit on a floppy disc.
They could probably charge $20 for it and make a profit. I'd pay $20 for that in a second.

Haha, damn dude. Seems like every post of yours I see brings up girls / sex outta nowhere.

Even Doom 3 could run on it, although the game itself apparently left a lot to be desired.
You know what, even if Goldeneye on XBLA arcade is a lost cause, Nintendo should allow Rare to do an enhanced remake for both systems (like the "Goldeneye Source" project, but official). That would kick ass on both the Wii and 360.
