When they post monthly sales do they cut the final weeks in half or do they let weeks finish out when compiling the numbers? I only ask because when compiling weekly numbers they ignore the end of months but when compiling monthly numbers I would think they stop when the month ends. However the problem I see with this is using VG chartz it's hard to find out monthly sales because they compile sales figures weekly. And it makes it impossible to compare weekly figures to the NPD monthly figures. 

NPD monthly figures are also a certain number of weeks.

If a week is mostly October, it will be in October. If mostly November, it will be in November. That is why some NPD months are 4 weeks, and some are 5 weeks.
