when the packages are being tracked like that, dont you Have to sign for them? thats really the only way for them to actually confirm delivery.

I fear about that sometimes now too since i moved into my new apartment at college. It's a bunch of college kids that would not even bat an eye on stealing something from someones doorstep. When I got Uncharted 2 I had to sign for it so, hopefully its like that for when R&C comes too.

Some of them, i did signed, some not. I was planning to buy ratchet, so, it could be worse. I think it wasn't even at my door, just near everyone mail there's basket under it. It's easy to take something without someone looking, since it's in plain sight.

It was 15$ but i had $5 rebate, so it was 10$.
I can't see a common thief or teenager wanting to steal and keep FF9 O.o I think that asking for it back will be best. Since I'm sure that the average teen only plays CoD, Madden, Guitar Hero, etc.

That's odd since UPS and Fed Ex makes me sign for everything they deliver without fail.
I don't mind this living in the downtown area of the city, but when I was in the burbs where everyone knows their neighbors (zero chance of mail theft), it was kind of annoying at times.
At times it almost feels as though they have a sixth sense for trying to deliver a package during the small window of time in which I'm not available. Last Friday I was gone for a class for less than four hours and the delivery truck had stopped by about 20 minutes before I returned and left a notice on my door.
I ended up calling UPS and arranging to pick up my package that evening at the depot.
If you have dodgy neighbors who steal your mail, you should definitely arrange for UPS to hold all your deliveries at the depot so you can pick them up in person if you aren't around to receive them in person.
At the very least, arrange to have them require your signature to confirm delivery, which as far as I know, they should be doing anyway.
I have a laptop incoming later this week, and if I can't be there during the scheduled delivery time, I will be calling in ahead to arrange pick up in person!
In the UK, they just drop it through the letter hole. They don't do that in the US?
Yeah, people can be jerks and I just don't get anything delivered to my home anymore. I live in a townhome complex and have the unit at the end so you can clearly see my door from the street/sidewalk so I just don't have things delivered there, I get everything delivered to my work. I'm not going to let something sit on my doorstep for up to eight hours when people drive and walk past it all day.
In your situation, just call Amazon and explain what happened. If it's Amazon and not some private seller, they'll probably give you your money back or another item, if you brought from a private seller through Amazon, it's up to them what they want to do.
