can Natal create an experience with using a controler? I dont think so..

Why not?

then I ask these questions :

Doesn't answer my question.
And all the things you said are wrong. Want a wheel accessory, get one.
Want to move your character in an fps. Use your remote.

Why can't Natal use a remote like he said?

of course it can !! It may even have one

but the claiming/hyping point of Natal is "no controller"

if u add a controller then u go back to SonyWand mixed with eyetoy (I think)

I see you're one of those that considers it to be an eye toy.

Regardless I'll still continue

He said he didn't think it could create an experience with a remote and I asked why not?
I don't know what your replies have to do with either point. Maybe I'm missing something?

If Natal is featured at GDC next year, it could really be an interesting show. Why? Because GDC is all about devs showing off their new ideas and it sounds as if Natal is giving devs a lot of new ideas. Hope they share some of those with the GDC crowd and, thusly, us.

The difference between Natal and Wii is that the Wii is easy to understand. Most games you don't even have to open the manual to get started with it. I can only imagine the complexity of learning Natal games. People would be going "Will this move work... dammit why can't I do it like this."

It seems like Microsoft is attempting, once again, to take everything that seemed to work from Motion Control and try to sell an extreme version. I'll tell you a tale of why I think Natal will fail. Back when Doom was THE 3D game another developer created Descent which was going to take 3D shooters to the extreme.   Descent was supposed to be even better because not only can you move in 3D but you can also move at any point in 360 degrees. When I first heard about it I thought it was going to be great because you have the freedom to go to virtually any point in the 3d maps that you want to. When I actually played it I felt nauseated and never got through 3 levels in the game. Nowadays you won't hear about 360-3D anymore because it was basically too much freedom that the brain can process from such simple control scheme. My prediction is Natal will have a similar fate.

Descent was a great game.
I think it wasn't for you just like Natal isn't.
Doesn't mean Natal isn't good or too complex for gamers, just you.

Considering how few developers have gotten their brain around how to properly utilize the wiimote, I do not have high hopes for a plethora of good games utilizing Natal.

Agree.

So it can... suck.. my....=O

mM

If you use your body movments as controller inputs it means that if you suck at body coordination in real life you will suck in the game. (Now you only have to have good thumb coordination)
And there is alot of game help for your thumbs (autoaim etc.)

You will be striking air when the game character is striking a "real" object.
Just ask youself why there havent been a lghtsaber game for the Wii.
The answer is that you would stand and wave in thin air and not follow you game characters movements when something is stopping the movement.
There will not be a Natal Lightsaber game (prediction)

Yeah.... its rare. Maybe we would all get excited if they where their former themselves that we all loved like 10 years ago. Times change, and thus far the only developer that is close to MS and Im curious what they can do with Natal is Epic. Molineaux dissapointed me way to many times to get excited for his new projects ( Granted, I still havent played F2).

Vote the Mayor for Mayor!

The painful truth is that Rare hasn't been as successful under Microsoft as they were under Nintendo. I could point to the fact that many of its original developers have already left and on top of that they've lost Nintendo's mentorship. What they're learning from Microsoft is to be aggressive marketers and hype manufacturers.

"Natal can create ANY experience"

cept a good one, harhar.

Seriously though they should enlighten us on what they have in mind. I can easily say this piece of gum I hold can create ANY experience then beat around the bush with its ocean of endless possibilities.
