I just read IGN's review for Smackdown vs Raw 2010 on the wii and from the comments,I realised that many wii owners want a Day of Reckoning 3 or No Mercy for wii.I never played no mercy but 1 of the main things I loved about day of reckoning was the 4 player physics. In SVR(correct me if it has changed cuz its been a while since I played SVR),once some1 starts a grapple move,a 3rd party can't hit them until they finish it.Sometimes, the 2 people involved in the grapple will teleport to the best part of the ring 4 the move to be performed!
And too many moves were cutscene-like,while in Day of reckoning,U perform each part of the attack yourself. For example,Rey Mysterio's move.in SVR,Mysterio trips opponent unto the 2nd rope, perfroms the 619,poses at the apron while dizzy opponent staggers, then performs a west coast pop when the opponent stands. In DoR,each of those steps can be performed by you,so u don't have to do them in that same order.I've 619-ed people when I see them fighting near the ropes,I've performed West Coast Pop when no 1 expected it,etc.I only owned DOR1 so I'll probably buy DOR2 if I can find it b4 buying next year(or 2k11's) SVR.
Without a doubt,SVR has much more modes and moves than DOR,but DOR was just more fun to play for me.There were no "power grapple' or 'quick grapple' animations before the actual grapple move, and since the attacks can hit a 3rd party(u can armdrag some1 into some1 else or into a ladder or table with a 3rd guy on it for example),I found it easier to plan my offence,be strategic, and there were just more possibilities, kinda like Smash bros vs Other fighters.
