From my understanding, Platinum Games developed the 360 version in house and Sega handled the PS3 port. Supposedly the 360 version runs slightly better. So I'm not surprised in the score difference, however Famitsu has begun to hand perfect scores like candy over the past 2 years. So who knows how good Bayonetta actually is.

LOL, PS3 gets the neglected step-child version yet again (Orange Box anyone?).  No, seriously, that's just wrong.  They should have just made it a 360 timed exclusive; that way they could put all their attention into making the PS3 version just as good, if not better.  Maybe they didn't have a choice ,however, seeing as THIS... IS.... SEGA.  Sorry PS3 owners.

yeah, because we all know that time exclusive means the team will focus on the port (Organe Box anyone?)

What are you on about?  Orange Box came out at the same time on both systems, right?  So it wasn't timed exclusive and therefore they could no longer improve the game for PS3.  Basically what I said, so what are you getting at?

No, it came ouf a month or two after for the PS3

Ooooh, I see.  Well then, EA just did not have the skills needed to catch up to the same game released two months earlier on a different platfrom.

Great job for the Bayonetta team living up to the hype

The game was build on the DX9 APIs so getting it working on OpenGL was no easy task

Don't care I own both consoles...had planned on buying this for the ps3 but I can easily get it for the 360...not really that console loyal...just like GOOD games!!!

Am pretty excited about this game regardless of the console so am just happy so see it received such a high score!!!

I'm not one to usually care about these things, but the 360 version runs quite a bit better (smoother framerate) and has slightly sharper graphics. The framerate is a big deal for action games. Like I said in the Bayonetta Famitsu thread, there's a demo out there for anyone who can be bothered and wants to try out the core game mechanics.

Still, this game was already a buy for me based on my time with the demo.

Demon's Souls Official Thread  | Currently playing: Left 4 Dead 2, LittleBigPlanet 2, Magicka

I really didn't think it ran slow when I was playing the demo. I haven't played the 360 version though.

This game will rock on ps3 or 360...if you are a ps3 owner and you let a review like this turn you off from enjoying a game, then you may need to visit a psychiatrist.
