Forums - Sony - God Of War III will not have mutiplayer but maybe DLC.

I wonder what you did when almost no games had multiplayer, which wasn't that long ago.

Call me spoiled but I have always been more into the multiplayer side of things.  One of my favorite games of all time is Age of empires and It had a fantastic multiplayer (better than its campaign).  So if it could do it all of those years ago why can't we have one now with GOWIII?  Whenever everyone else on the entire planet (with a small exception) does as well?

Call of Duty 4 single player campaign was awesome...but the multiplayer made it OMGWTFBBQ awesome.

 

If developers actually tried, they could make both single player and multiplayer awesome.

 

Why is it so hard to believe a game can have wonderful Single and multiplayer?  The only reason they don't want to add it is because it will cost more money and  they know they can get away with not adding it.   After the game is done, then they sock it to ya with DLC.  While I love DLC it shouldn't be for multiplayer.  It should be for expansion packs.

Some games and gernes should not have mutiplayer.

There are games coming out to the 360 that I will not buy either if it doesn't have some form of MP (mainly Mass Effect 2). And to me ME1 is the best WRPG of this generation.

Why do people all the sudden expect multiplayer? God of War's true greatness lies with the story of Kratos. That's where it's all at. I could see a horde mode working but I'm sure that will come in the final product. Sony Santa Monica is a great developer and they know peoples concerns on value.

Personally, I think God of War 3 is worth a full purchase with only the SP. But I'm quiet positive that more things will be added to increase the value. Maybe the game will launch with MP horde mode, or it might not. We don't know!

MP does add life to a game. Sad to hear the news and it only gets worse when we get to the DLC. Stop selling incomplete games!!

Hope the story is longer than the first two games since there is no multiplayer...
Would be pissed if the DLC is part of the story but that is unlikely to happen.
Can't wait for this game xD
