You may remember last week that Charles Martinet, the voice of Mario posted word of a new Mario game via popular social networking site Twitter. Stating "Awesome new Mario Game! And it’s not NSMB Wii, and it’s not Galaxy 2, but it’s going to be crazy fun!" the voice actor has excited fans with his revelation but it seems Nintendo weren't so pleased having ensured the comment was removed from his page. Game Spot spoke with Nintendo after the comment was made in the hope of shedding some more light on the matter, a Nintendo representative simply affirmed "We are always working on new games and experiences, but we have nothing to announce at this time."

Who knows what this new Mario game will entail, all we can assume is that it'll be "crazy fun".

I dont really see what the big problem is anyway, would anyone actually be surprised that nintendo is working on a new mario game? It would be news if he came out and said that he hadnt voiced a new mario game in 6 months or something...

You're absolutely right, it really doesn't matter because we know they're always working on a Mario game at some point in time. That said, it'll be interesting to see what it is exactly.

I bet Nintendo were not pleased with him. I bet it was just Mario party 9 anyway.

It would be nice if it was a Mario game for the wii vitality sensor.

I hope it's Paper Mario or Mario Party 9. I think MP9 will definitely come out next year, and Paper Mario should also come out, a Paper Mario game has come out every 3 years, not that they can't break that trend, because they can.

Mario Party 9, Paper Mario 4, Mario Galaxy 2, that would be freaking sweet for 2010. Along with a Mario DS game because none are confirmed at all at the moment.
