Nope. Neither is Japanese. FF13 will get 40/40, and GT5, and maybe The Last Guardian. Perhaps Quantum Theory for good measure. And, of course, Zelda Wii and NSMB Wii. And Super Mario Galaxy 2.

While they're at it, why don't they give 40/40 to every game that comes out of Japan?

I never said they hate Western games, they just prefer Japanese games. When Nintendogs gets a perfect score and some of the highest reviewed games in the West get in the mid-30s, you know something is up.

You could say the same about Western reviewers? Why do western games tend to get higher scores than Japanese games?

well I really REALLY liked the 360 demo a lot so, good for Bayonetta, platnium games and Sega :P

They don't. At least, not before this gen.

Final Fantasy, Gran Turismo, PES, Devil May Cry, Virtua Fighter and Resident Evil can all be found in the PS2's top 20 on Metacritic. And looking at the Western games, can anybody objectively deny that the Tony Hawks, GTAs and God of Wars deserve to be on that list? I haven't played any of the Maddens, but I've never really liked American Football.

your rite about the 1st wrong about the second.. when to games of a different genres get different scores like UN2 37 and Bayonetta40 it doesn't mean Bayonetta > UC2.. it means Bayonetta is currently the best and most innovative action game available

Whatever! Famitsu is only hurting its own reputation with this. There is absolutely NO WAY that this shit with last gen graphics ( in BOTH versions) will b better than GOW3.
