My most recent memory of such a situation is with LittleBigPlanet. I was crying due to laughing so hard to the point where I could not see anything going on in the LCD's screen. A friend and I were trying to succeed on the Bunker level, seeing if we could make it past that god damned wheel of sackdeath and we just died over and over again.
The death animation by electrocution, the ridiculous amounts of times we tried to do it, the sounds the poor Sackboys made, everything just came together to make it a memorable and extremely funny experience. Granted, I laugh out loud a lot when I play LBP because most things in that game really are hilarious, but that one time just took the cake.
Alas, we didn't meet with success. The next day, however, I made a few tries and was so unbelievably happy with myself when I finally completed the level! I don't think I'll ever ace that one... Fear. The. Bunker!
