i wouldnt pick it up even if it was $5 but then i hate beat em ups. Good for the people who like these kinds of games, lets just hope this doesnt make capcom turn away from Wii.

Nah, Resident Evil: Dead Space Chronicles will sell its million.

It depends after that. I would love to see more support from them, but I'll have to wait to see any announements.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

It's a new beat-em-up in 2009 that has been critically panned, has a weird artstyle and generated next to no hype.

How was this unexpected again?

Pixel Art can be fun.

It was probably assumed it would do well based on the hype from Madworld (they switched the gameplay before that game was released).

Madworld actually had an advertising budget which was used on television and online, Spyborgs had webisodes?

It's not only that but Madworld was actually hyped enough and was decent enough to get people to buy it.

Yeah, marketing is something developers often forget with the Wii, even though they wouldn't dare forget it with HD systems.

RE 4 Wii and RE UC got hyped and sold well. CTYD and Okami got little marketing (reviews of the former wouldn't matter, since MK Wii got worse reviews than Madworld, and that change nothing), and sold just niche sales (and would be flops if they were on HD systems).

RE4 and RE UC aren't new IP.  Also, reviews matter when the intended audience places value in them.  Mario Kart has a 83 metacritc if memory serves and Madworld has 81.

If it has only sold 3k, I am so getting this.

It's gonna be rare and valuable someday^^

I LOVE ICELAND!

The IPs matter, but even new IPs can do well with hype. Also I must have gotten the reviews of those two mixed up, but my poiint still stands. Reviews could sell a game, but they don't really stop a game from selling (unless they point out the thing is faulty and unplayable).

It's just that simple.

Sold less than 600. Not 600K, but 600.
