i like metrosexuals because they make gay people look less gay :D

i consider myself half and half. i dont fart or burp in public because i think its crude and disgusting, but i do (somewhat) care about my appearance. im not gonna leave the house without taking a shower and putting on deodorant, but im also not gonna use makeup, because thats wayyyyy to feminine for me. im gay, btw, so i dont know if that has anything to do with it.

i absolutely DESPISE men (gay or straight) or talk or act extremely feminine, much like the "dude" mentioned in the OP. i dont know why, but i cannot stand them.

I agree 100%!

THANK YOU!

for agreeing with me and actually responding to me..i dont get that often

Blame post count and lack of a recognizable sig. People tend to discriminate because of this, I have no clue why. I wasn't getting quoted until the 1,000+ post count range.

Metrosexuals: It's what happens when straight men buy Gay fashion designed clothes.

Yet, today, America's leaders are reenacting every folly that brought these great powers [Russia, Germany, and Japan] to ruin -- from arrogance and hubris, to assertions of global hegemony, to imperial overstretch, to trumpeting new 'crusades,' to handing out war guarantees to regions and countries where Americans have never fought before. We are piling up the kind of commitments that produced the greatest disasters of the twentieth century.
 — Pat Buchanan – A Republic, Not an Empire

aww, im terribly unoriginal and creative, so no recognizable sig for me :(

and it'll take forever to hit 1,000 posts. where are those spam threads >.>

As a female, I wouldn't entirely agree with the article, but I would say this: I like it when my men smells good, has good hygene and takes at least a little care of his appearence. I mean we women go through so much trouble to look great for you guys, so why not get the men to look at least a little nice too?

However I wouldn't say they need to go as far as going to a spa, get their nails done and such.

Emotion wise, I think a guy would have more of a supportive role. If I cry, he's there to listen, pick me up and cheer me up. It's okay for him to cry, once in a while, but not all the time.

I was getting quoted when I had like 10 posts and before I had a sig or profile picture. But then again, you know me...

I'm a weirder and more intriguing than the average VGchartz poster.

Metrosexuals annoy me for the same reason the over make-upped chicks that spend all day talking about shoes and reading Vogue annoy me. They care WAAY too much about how they look. It's an obsession, and it's sick.

This pretty much sums up my thoughts on it. I don't want a guy who looks like he's already married to a location, be it the gym, the spa, or KFC. (I admit I'm nowhere near small, but if I look like a toothpick next to you...) I'm one of those people who appreciates (and does) the basics (shower, deodorant, etc), but I'm not going out of my way to spend a large sum of money on "fashion statements."

If anything, this may be a good thing to tell me some people that I should stay away from. I was raised on the value of the dollar. (I cringed at the thought of paying $13.50 for my last pair of shorts.) There's no way in hell that I'd pay $80 for a pair of jeans AND advertise the maker of them, as I think the pic of the guy in the opening post did. If your name is all over my clothing, then I either want to support it, or you better be paying me, dammit! And somehow, I don't think I care about the wellbeing of companies like Prada, Hollister, etc...
