You two have been hilariously overzealous in your defense of demon souls for no good reason.  Once again Onyxmeth has a good point.

I actually think they never played demon's souls. they say in their tidbit that you collect money in souls. There is no money in demon's souls. It also says you level up as you go along. You have to manually level your character it just doesn't happen like other RPGs. They say its similar to other RPGs but it really isn't

Yes it's possible that they just played the game and then made this list, but since they put WKC on the list it seems completely plausible that they imported Demon's Souls as well. 

No no, let's just ignore that I'm using logic and focus on how I use logic to defend things I like.  Fucking ridiculous.

So, this was a Sony fanarticle with the original article's idea being "let's get the word out that Demon Souls is the second or possibly best RPG this generation" and they figured the easiest way to do it would be to create a "top 10" list with full intention of promoting Demon Souls in the top 2, no matter what?

Yeah, I knew that shit the second I read it. I just didn't say anything, because all I woulda heard was moaning about how I can't let anyone have an opinion, and conspiracy theories ruin my posts, and how I shouldn't fight fanboyism because it brings me to their level, ect...

Now that it's been said, yeah, obviously.

Anyway, that said Demon Souls is a high level RPG this gen. See my list on page 2, and you'll get a top 10 RPG list that's actually worth a damn. Use it as a buying guide, and send me a PM with your thanks in a couple months.

What I disliked about the article were the descriptions - the writer did a poor job on some games, explaining why that game was on the list. Let's take WKC for example. All he wrote was some plot information, which he probably just found on the internet, and said "Every JRPG fan should play this!" He didn't even mention what was good about the game, or what I liked about it. I don't even think he played the game. Anyways, I played the game, and it was terrible. It doesn't deserve to be on the list - of course, I'm only judging this on gameplay alone. Battles were slow and boring; there were some glitches like characters getting stuck; I would also get hit by far away, but I couldn't hit them. Let's hope they fix this in the NA version.

No you're right, I didn't care to look up the entire history of the site.  I'm just saying it's plausible that they played the game before the American release of Demon's Souls. 

You don't think that our site would put the collosi in the 5 most epic boss fights, or the end? Because I think those both have a shot.   honestly the only thing I find blatantly off from those lists is MGS4 being one of the best games ever (shouldn't be in the top ten).  They're probably just too young to put together a realistic "top ten games ever"  Oh and Zeus is meh.

I'm fairly sure they didn't, and that's why I decided to discredit the site. The other very recent article that had Uncharted 2 as the #1 most artistic game this gen right after it got released should cement the point. Maybe they did or didn't play it before the American release, but I'm very very sure they timed the list to coincide with Demons Souls hitting stores outside of Japan, which makes me think they just played it now and it's fresh in their mind. Even if they did play it before though, my comment was that they had an agenda to plug Demons Souls, and that is most likely true. You took it from there and interpreted it as them not having played it before, but that doesn't excuse the fact that they have an agenda.

Regarding our site, I don't think we would put five boss fights all stemming from Sony's consoles. I don't have an issue with any distinct example. It's the fact that all of them are there that strikes out at me.

I really can't believe that you can't see the bias though outside of MGS4 being in one list. Do you need more examples? There are more.

I am sick of gaming sites that pop out of nowhere and put together crap like this to get page views. Gamingbolt and sites like it (derivative gaming sites that produce nothing of value) can die in a fire.
