The flash games industry is pretty significant. Casual gaming is a big market on the PC. Lots of people love playing those facebook type of games and what not.

BUT barely anyone is ever going to actually PAY for flash gaming! The Play Sega business model just isn't going to work. Part of the reason why flash games and these type of casual games on facebook are popular is because they are FREE.

If Sega goes to flash based browser gaming, doesn't that mean they would have to drop the majority of their franchises? Is Flash ever going to get to the point where games like Virtua Fighter or Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games could exist?

This just seems like something PopCap should be doing, not Sega.
