BMI works for people who do not work out... wich is what 95% of the population?

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

I'm 5'11-6'0 and I weigh 143lb. It doesn't say I'm overweight.

im 6'0 and about the same weight as you and it says im overweight

You've got to be doing something wrong. I was 6'2" and 140 lbs. when I first used it, and it (correctly) said I was underweight. It took me six months of weight training at the gym to gain enough weight to reach "normal".

I believe it said I was suppose to be 130ish.

I was hardly that weight as a toothpick in High School.

I'm 5'6.  130.

Wii Fit doesn't say i'm overweight for what it's worth.

More like... 70%.  BMI is a bit off around extreme heights too.

Im overweigh, my girlfriend is underweigh and my mother is normal.

Since i saw this kind of range from the beggining, im more confortable with Wii Fit mesurements

Something's wrong then.

6ft = 1.83 m

145 lbs = 66kg

BMI = weight/height*height

BMI = 66/3.35

BMI = 19.7

This would equate to underweight or just on the lower end of the normal weight range, depending on the scale that you are looking at.

LOLOLOLOLOL

have you n your friend entered you "HEIGHT" in wrong?

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

To answer the question of why does it try to get you to lose weight while doing strength exercises, that is quite simple.

Unless you haven't exercised in a long time, when you are doing a strength exercise routine but eating under your maintenance calorie level, you will lose more fat than muscle, but you will lose both. If you continue the same routine but eat more than your maintenance level you will gain muscle (and fat). So, you aren't really building muscle unless you are eating enough.

Ultimately it doesn't matter what exercises you do, it comes down to calories eaten vs. calories used.

Anyways, I put in that I'm 5'11" and the upper range for me in normal is ~178. Either you entered your height wrong, or you weigh more than you are saying you do.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

You guys are so tiny.

It just counts BMI and BMI does not work at all. I am overweight according to wii fit, which is just rediculous.

6"4 and 230lbs.
