Anyone want to make a prediction?

Thw Wii certainly has some good momentum going for it right now, and, barring poor supply, should be have a pretty good lead at the end of this holiday season.

The PS3 and the 360 battle is in full swing with all the price cuts/new skus/exclusive courting.   I think it's pretty safe to say, at least in the immediate fuiture, that Microsoft and Sony will be doing more harm to each other than to Nintendo.

So here's the question:

When (if at all) will the Wii's WW sales equal the combined WW sales of the 360 and the PS3? 

Well I would have said never, the wii had SMG and Brawl that interested me,

BUT then the TGS made me fall in love with my wii all over again....... yeah i said it!

SOOOOO..... if Nintendo keeps doing what its doing (Great casual and Hardcore games) and has the cheaper system and games,,,,

Wii> 360+PS3 by the end of 08

depends on the PS3

if 08 works n if SONY plays their cards right then NEVER

but if SONY completely crap up again, then end of 08

The thread is fine so far so I don't see why a warning is needed besides being off topic. Just saying I don't want to read new topics and have to read a warning everytime.

On topic, I think is too early to tell but if Nintendo can get their supply constraint worked out then is very possible.

Now only will Christmas give Wii a even bigger boast over the competition, but the Wii Fit hits in January, which will further skyrocket Wii sales, while 360/PS3 drop off as usual. Then Brawl, then Mario Kart.... By March '08 Wii will be > than 360/PS3 and never look back.

By the end of 2007.

The ps3 is going to take the lead from the wii in april of 2008.

November 17th folks, the beginning of ps3 > wii world wide sales.

The Wii would have to outsell 360 and PS3 combined by another 5 mn worldwide - tough at the current sales levels. I think if it can accomplish that feat (not so certain yet), it will be next year christmas, meaning end of 2008.
