Forums - Gaming - Namco Bandai CONSIDERING Tales of Vesperia SEQUEL!! (Rejoice)!

Tales of Vesperia: The First Strike is now in full theatrical release. Namco Bandai got around to celebrating earlier today with a creator talk session held at the Kadokawa Cinema theater in Shinjuku. Famitsu.com provided a report from the event.

In attendance at the event were First Strike director Kanta Kamei, Production I.G producer Hidekazu Terakawa, Namco Bandai Games general manager Makoto Yoshizumi, and Vesperia producer Yoshito Higuchi. The four fielded questions that had been submitted in advance by participants.

One of the questions concerned a possible sequel for the original Vesperia game and the movie. Regarding the game sequel, Yoshizumi said that during meetings, staff would ask him, "Will you be making Vesperia 2?" to which he would respond, "Don't talk like a fan!". "It appears that [within the company] there's a desire to make part 2," he said. "We're thinking about it."

On the possibility of a movie sequel, Yoshizumi said that they're already having thoughts about things they'd like to do if they were to make another Vesperia movie. "I don't know when it will happen, but we'd like to show [these things] in video form."

It looks like the Vesperia story is far from finished with the Xbox 360 version, PS3 version, and movie.

EXCELLENT......the possibility is there!

In fact after the PS3 version has sold TOV should do 500K in Japan alone.....if the PS3's western release does well then we could see one of the Top selling tales game

knowing this they probably thought a sequel could be viable!

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

See Japanese games have this thing called localization so they can translate the game to english. Once that's done, they release the game in the west. That's how the industry works. Hopefully i answered your question about that. :)

How about ToV PS3 in NA for now, Namdai? =/

Thats what I meant when I said "What western Ps3 release"

Awesomeness.

It would be a spin-off title, and not nearly as "good" as the first one. The better thing to hope for is another "mothership" title to hit a console you own. Tales of Vesperia 2 would not be half as popular in all likely hood. See Tales of Symphonia and Tales of Symphonia 2.
