For all of you PS3 owners, from which out of seeing your joy have inspired me to buy a PS3. I want some recommendations.

Yes, I bought it. I got a PSN account, I downloaded some demos, I've watched some movies. Beautiful, gorgeous(I'm the only ones around here who seems to think that though, nobody else cares). But I seem to have real trouble finding something that makes me truly happy. I used to be a Sega person, then went Nintendo. I'm enjoying VF5 now which is a game I always had a special taste for(VF5 not being as good as the previous ones, by the way).

Please, tell me some games that have intuitive, pleasurable(no pun intended) controls. Things I can pick up and master fairly quickly, but aren't exactly stereotypically juvenile, or too western(I watched a trailer for Ratchet and that was it, I don't think I'm gonna like that really). I've been playing Uncharted and I find that the controls are not my thing. It's fine, but not intuitive enough. I wish I could Z-target all of my targets, and in so doing would also place the camera behind my character. You know, very Nintendo like. Maybe I haven't figured out a way of playing this way that I want, but it just seems to use too many buttons at a time and I don't enjoy that very much.

Also, the western stereotypes. Please, any games that aren't too based around them? Nothing against that style, I think it's great but it's not my personal taste. Little Big Planet doesn't do it for me either, I don't find it cute or appealing. Believe me, I really want to like these games, because I want to justify my purchase, which from my perspective was expensive. I need to grow a taste that suits my purchase of a PS3, that said I do need some help. So since you guys have been my inspiration with all the love you show, I'd like to ask for a little help.

I've been playing some Ninja Gaiden Sigma and Bioshock, and I find them both pointless and confusing in terms of gameplay and ambience. If a former Sega, and recently Nintendo loving gaming heart were to buy a PS3, what games would you recomend besides Ninja Gaiden, Bioshock, Little Big Planet, Uncharted 1 and Virtua Fighter 5 that suit my taste?

Take a look at Infamous

Try Uncharted 2, Killzone 2, and Metal Gear Solid 4? also do you like racing games cause if so both Dirt and GT5P are very good

Nothing since the dreamcast has made me really happy ... ive been saying for years that the best of gaming has ended I still dream of a new sega console ... but it will most probably never happen Id say the ps3 has given me the most happiness of all 3 current consoles ... mainly cos of the sega exclusives on there such as valkyria chronicles

Get Uncharted 1 first, then work your way up.

Valkyria Chronicles and SEGA Genesis Collection is a must.

I'm gonna check out InFamous.

I've been playing the demo of Uncharted 1. My taste for everything Sega kind of changed a bit, I used to be a Virtua Fighter fanatic but I don't have so much time or patience anymore. I've had a little trouble with the aiming in Uncharted, and taking cover and all that stuff. I'm not having fun really, the style doesn't appeal to me either.

Valkyria Chronicles I'm gonna check it out. Phantasy Star, Shining Force, PSO, I was addicted to Sega RPGs. My favorite of all time being Azel: Panzer Dragoon RPG. Masterpiece.

I think the controls of games like Buzz, Singstar and Motorstorm 2: Pacific Rift may be more appealing to you at this point.

But I think in due time you will get the hang of the controls and these games will start to feel more natural or better to you.

I'm pretty sure you mean Panzer Dragoon Saga right? It was the best RPG on the saturn and one of the best RPG's ever. Hell even the demo was the whole first chapter xD.

OT - My suggestion is to buy whichever game you feel like for your PS3, if you are a Sega fan then you may consider those games first and the Sega Megadrive Ultimate Collection too, it's the best compilation of megadrive games ever ;)

If you like beat'Em'ups get SF4!

If you like RPGs get VC!

If you like something like Battlefield get Warhawk this game is pure fun!

Beside this there are rly only 2 Exclusives you MUST play: MGS4 and U2. KZ2 and R&C denend heavely on your taste.

It's pretty funny you have no idea what game to get :D. As i bought my PS3 for Bayonetta and it was obvious for me to get all fighting games^^.

Oh if you like chalenge get Demons Souls!
