For all of you PS3 owners, from which out of seeing your joy have inspired me to buy a PS3. I want some recommendations.
Yes, I bought it. I got a PSN account, I downloaded some demos, I've watched some movies. Beautiful, gorgeous(I'm the only ones around here who seems to think that though, nobody else cares). But I seem to have real trouble finding something that makes me truly happy. I used to be a Sega person, then went Nintendo. I'm enjoying VF5 now which is a game I always had a special taste for(VF5 not being as good as the previous ones, by the way).
Please, tell me some games that have intuitive, pleasurable(no pun intended) controls. Things I can pick up and master fairly quickly, but aren't exactly stereotypically juvenile, or too western(I watched a trailer for Ratchet and that was it, I don't think I'm gonna like that really). I've been playing Uncharted and I find that the controls are not my thing. It's fine, but not intuitive enough. I wish I could Z-target all of my targets, and in so doing would also place the camera behind my character. You know, very Nintendo like. Maybe I haven't figured out a way of playing this way that I want, but it just seems to use too many buttons at a time and I don't enjoy that very much.
Also, the western stereotypes. Please, any games that aren't too based around them? Nothing against that style, I think it's great but it's not my personal taste. Little Big Planet doesn't do it for me either, I don't find it cute or appealing. Believe me, I really want to like these games, because I want to justify my purchase, which from my perspective was expensive. I need to grow a taste that suits my purchase of a PS3, that said I do need some help. So since you guys have been my inspiration with all the love you show, I'd like to ask for a little help.
I've been playing some Ninja Gaiden Sigma and Bioshock, and I find them both pointless and confusing in terms of gameplay and ambience. If a former Sega, and recently Nintendo loving gaming heart were to buy a PS3, what games would you recomend besides Ninja Gaiden, Bioshock, Little Big Planet, Uncharted 1 and Virtua Fighter 5 that suit my taste?
