When shit goes 3d something goes wrong. The 2.5d level design feels like a cartoon, much more than the 3d space.

Def. wait to see how it develops though.

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

From the info. Because...if the requirement was to play it then you can't make assumptions either.

Not the same, me judging a scan versus you calling the game heroic or great aint the same buddy.

It doesn't look as good as the concept art, but the history and the add of Mickey's choices "Scrapper" or "Hero" sounds great and the visuals are (at least) enought for me
Simply: look's Epic :P

The interview with Warren Spector said he's trying to make Mickey a hero again. And if Disney are really putting all they've got behind this game, I doubt this game will be bad at all.

I don't think anyone has questioned how good this will be, but it just doesnt look epic yet. But, I have high hope for it. No Wii game has gotten my attention as this one so far this gen.

My God you guys can be a fickle bunch, Im sure sure if the game came with a naked lady you'd still find a reason to complain.

As for first screen shots scanned from a magazine and posted on a website I think it looks pretty damn fine right now. Looking forward to the videos and actual screen shots before I pass judgement.

Dont look anything close to its concept art.

The plot sounds awesome. It sounds like it would make for an enthralling cartoon.

Eh. Guess we have to see it in action now. First of all to see how the graphics look in motion. And to see how the painting/erasing system works.

But frankly, the graphics look like they'll be mediocre. I know, you can't tell much from magazine scans. So here's an apples to apples comparison with the first result on a Google Image search for "mario galaxy magazine scan."

http://forums.maxconsole.net/showthread.php?t=83683

And the painting/erasing... We'll see. Tying it to the karma system might make it not feel so much like "fill in the blanks," which is what that mechanic usually becomes.

Spector makes me roll my eyes. Lots of hot air.

"[Our former customers] are unable to find software which they WANT to play."
"The way to solve this problem lies in how to communicate what kind of games [they CAN play]."

Satoru Iwata, Nintendo President. Only slightly paraphrased.

i lol everytime i read "Epic Mickey" , it doesn't fit.

Shut up crybabies!!! this has the opposite effect on me, I had NO Interest in this game and shocked at ppl actually arguing platform and the massive hypin for this has been character..but these scans and info has changed my mind completely...minus the the shitty KH look...i am impressed with wat i see.I love the fact they used Classic Mickey...I hate his current look
