Forums - Gaming - The vgchartz ranking game--Burnout Paradise

All you have to do is put what score you think the game below deserves, and write a brief explanation as to why it deserves that score.

Voting is open for 24 hours, after the 24 hour period I will count up all the scores and get the average of the game.  I will be putting up a new thread with a new game every 24 hours

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Rules

1. You had to have played at least enough of the game to form an honest opinion about it

(playing it for 5 minutes is NOT enough time, nor is watching a friend play the game)

2. Users with less than 100 posts cannot score a game unless they back up their post with very good reasons as to why they rated it so.

3. scores have to be on a 10 point scale with 7 being average, and anything longer than 2 digits (EG: 9.8) won't be counted.

4. If you score a game under a 5, you have to go into great detail as to why you gave it such a low score.

5. A game must have at least 5 people that gave it a score to be counted.

6. If you score a game more than once none of your scores will count

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

______

anyway, I can't comment on this game

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

8.8

+ Loved the open world aspect of it, great variety in the types of races.
- The online is oddly integrated, no Split-Screen.

7

The games big hook. Was one of the worst ideas in recent memory
+Open world
+lots of cars
+fun races

-Not being able to restart the race
-Having to check the map often
-Some strange c rash situations
-Not Viva Pinata

8.4/10

+ Crashing your car and looking at it getting destroyed was fun
+ Speed!
+ Very well made online modes

- Very repetitive
- Lack of things to do

9.0

The game is great, the controls are perfect, there's a lot of stuff to do and cars to collect and it's totally seamless without noticeable pop-ins; and the online is great as well! However, the events do get repetitive, especially in the "endgame" when you're going for that final license.

the words above were backed by NUCLEAR WEAPONS!

8.9

+ amazing sense of speed, crashes look great, many and cool cars, lots of stuff to do, online is fun, road rages rock the house.

- gets a little repetitive, just two camera modes.

Damn it, I haven't really played this one.

6.5/10 (5.7 without the DLC)

+ crashing on purpose
+ support (great (free) DLCs)
+ lots of things to do (lol @ Boutros)

- art style (Paradise City, but feels like a generic place that could be anywhere on earth)
- track design (only one city and the outskirts are boring)
- no restart function
- repetitive
- being forced to open the map frequently during a race (can result in breaking a boost chain)
- horrible crash mode
- not being able to push cars from behind without crashing (yeah I loved that in Revenge)
- AI often takes a different route (boring and critical when you crashed and not able to catch up)
- frustration (But I guess that's more like a feature of the Burnout games...)
- no splitscreen

and that's not nitpicking, those are things that make the game almost unjoyable to me.
Surprisingly, I loved the demo.

8.5/10

+ It is burnout
+Online was nice
+The free DLC

- No crash mode
- searching your way to the finish without looking on your map is hard.
