So I have a question and its in 3 parts.

1. Are Sony the losers for stating this?

2. Are half of the PS3 owning population to be considered losers for using home 'regularly'?

3. Am I as much a loser for calling them losers for using home?

Im thinking all three here.

There is some obvious PR twist on the numbers, most surely he is not giving some impotant info like "we consider active a log at least once a month", i log in every 4 to 5 month to confirm what a a crap home is, and when im in there are a few people there dancing and getting bored.

 

He is just trying to justify his job, home is a complete waste of time, money (from sony), disk space , bandwidth and everything you can come up with.

Yes they can. Sony and Microsoft lie or embellish all the time about position. Remember the time Sony tried to pass all of PSN as if it had more true PS3 members than Xbox Live? Thats embellishing.

how sad if true. I guess the recession and all people can't afford fuel to go out with their mates to bowl. So now they meet in the HOME bowling alley haha.

We can afford fuel just fine. 4.5 Million people isn't very much to tell you the truth and I think Sony is embellishing to make themselves look good.

PSN = PSP + PS3


PS3 + PSP (PSN) (Free) > X360 (XBL) (Pay). Simple maths. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out.

Everyone with a PS3 or PSP and internet gets free access to PSN. Live has a ratio of about 2/3 subscribers.

It's a free service. It's not like you pay for it and don't bother to use it. You are not wasting your money.

What puzzles me is that PS3 fanbase is now dominated by EU (and Japan). Those figures are coming from their weakest market.

Is that because the EU figures for home are pathetic? Who knows.

Ultimately these figures are for people looking to advertise their stuff on PSN, these are the ones that will probably request a more detailed summary of these numbers.
