The second iteration of the game was a huge money maker for THQ, shifting over 2.2 million copies on the consoles alone, not including PC.

The franchise is brilliant, maintaining the old casual days of GTA.

Given the shift of focus of GTA, a game that builds on its whacky attributes could grow bigger. I haven't played Saints Row but I heard good word of mouth for it.

VGC does list Saints Row 3 with a release date for 2010. Wonder if this came out somewhere ...
